Legacy Turf & Greens installs synthetic sports turf for athletic fields, courts, training areas, and indoor sports surfaces throughout Austin and Central Texas.
ONE TURF CATEGORY. MANY WAYS TO PLAY.
Different sports place different demands on the surface.
Legacy Turf & Greens designs and installs synthetic turf around the way athletes will actually train, compete, and use the space.
Applications include:
Each project starts with the sport, expected traffic, site conditions, and performance needs.

FIELDS, COURTS & TRAINING AREAS
Synthetic turf can create durable, defined surfaces for full athletic fields, smaller practice areas, and recreational courts.
Baseball and soccer fields require room for repeated play and training, while tennis, bocce, and specialty courts have their own surface and layout requirements.
Legacy plans each installation around the intended use rather than treating every sports surface the same.
TAKE TRAINING INDOORS
Synthetic turf is also a practical surface for indoor strength, conditioning, and sports training.
Indoor applications may include:
The result is a durable training surface that clearly defines workout areas and stands up to repeated use.
BUILT FROM THE BASE UP
The performance of any sports turf installation starts below the surface.
Legacy evaluates the existing site, grading, drainage, base preparation, transitions, and expected traffic before the turf is installed.
For outdoor projects in Central Texas, proper drainage and base construction are especially important for long-term stability and dependable use.
SPORTS TURF FAQs
Planning a sports field, court, or training area in Central Texas comes with questions about heat, drainage, traffic, maintenance, and the right surface for the activity. Here are a few of the questions we hear most often.
Sports turf is designed for outdoor use, but product selection and proper installation matter in the Central Texas climate. Legacy Turf & Greens considers sun exposure, intended use, drainage, and site conditions when recommending turf for Austin-area athletic fields and courts.
Yes. One of the biggest advantages of synthetic sports turf is its ability to handle repeated use without the recovery time natural grass often needs. That makes it a strong option for schools, clubs, training programs, and multi-use fields with busy schedules.
A properly built sports turf system is designed to move water away from the playing surface. Grading, base construction, and drainage are especially important in Austin, where dry periods can be followed by heavy rainfall.
In many cases, yes. A training field or recreational area can be planned for multiple activities depending on the size, layout, turf system, and sports being played. Legacy can help determine whether a multi-use design makes sense for the space.
Yes. Synthetic turf eliminates the irrigation, mowing, fertilizing, and reseeding required to maintain natural grass. For Central Texas properties dealing with heat, drought conditions, or intensive field use, it can provide a more predictable surface throughout the year.
The surface needs are very different. Soccer and athletic fields are designed around running, ball interaction, and repeated traffic, while tennis and bocce require different playing characteristics. The turf and construction method should be selected specifically for the sport rather than using one product for every application.
Yes. Indoor sports turf can be installed for sprint lanes, sled work, agility drills, strength and conditioning, and sport-specific training. Legacy Turf & Greens can design the turf area around the equipment, available floor space, and type of training performed.
Yes. Legacy Turf & Greens installs sports turf throughout Austin and surrounding Central Texas communities, including Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Lakeway, Bee Cave, Dripping Springs, Pflugerville, Leander, and other nearby areas.
