Legacy Turf & Greens designs custom golf complexes throughout Austin and Central Texas, combining multiple golf features into one cohesive, playable environment.
MORE THAN A PUTTING GREEN
A golf complex gives you room to practice much more than putting.
Depending on the property, your design can include:

DESIGNED FOR HOW YOU PLAY
Larger golf complexes allow each area to serve a different purpose.
One section may be designed for putting. Another can handle wedges, bunker shots, approach shots, or longer pitches. Tee locations can also be positioned at multiple distances to create more variety.
Instead of repeating the same shot, you can move through the property and practice different parts of your game.
BUILT AROUND THE LAND
The best complexes feel like they belong on the property.
Legacy Turf & Greens considers elevation, drainage, existing trees, architecture, usable acreage, and surrounding landscape before determining the final layout.
This gives you considerably more design freedom than a traditional backyard putting green.

ROOM TO CREATE
A large natural-grass golf area can require substantial irrigation, mowing, fertilization, and ongoing care.
Synthetic turf creates a more predictable playing surface while reducing many of those maintenance demands.
For Austin properties, that makes it possible to dedicate more space to golf without maintaining a miniature natural-grass course.
GOLF COMPLEX FAQs
Answers to common questions about space, features, design, and building a private golf complex in Austin and Central Texas.
The space needed depends on the features you want to include. Some Austin golf complexes focus on putting and chipping, while larger properties may include fairways, tee areas, bunkers, and multiple greens.
A custom golf complex may include putting greens, chipping areas, tee stations, fairways, bunkers, fringe, rough, target areas, and custom landscape features. Every layout is designed around the property and how you want to practice.
Golf complexes can include stacked-sod sand bunkers, white synthetic turf bunkers, and rolled-edge bunkers. The bunker style can be selected to match the look of the property and the type of golf experience you want to create.
Short fairways and multiple tee locations can create different approach distances into the green. This gives the complex more variety and lets you practice wedges, pitch shots, and longer approaches from different positions.
Existing trees, slopes, and elevation changes can be incorporated into the layout to create more interesting shots and a more natural golf experience. The design is shaped around the property rather than forcing every feature into a flat, standard layout.
